A big thanks to the Pastor Matt and wife Debbie Peterson for the welcome into MorningStar Fellowship, Winston Salem. Such an incredible time of worship with the freedom of creativity through painting, dancing and singing.

After the service, we joined Matt and Debbie, family and friends to the now infamous Golden Corral buffet and grill. Talk about variation! Turns out the Maasai (Masai) desire no such variation. They made a straight B-line to the nyama (meat) section and felt no need to venture beyond. The Golden Corral was a “do-it-again” kind of meal. When Yona was asked how he liked the food, he shut his eyes, threw both arms in the air, put two thumbs up, and yelled out expressively “SSSSSSAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNAAAAAAA!” None of us have heard such a sana before, this must be the equivalent to five golden stars.

Here’s a picture of Nadine that I just love. We caught her mid exclamation after taking a large bite full of jalapenos. “THIS IS NOT OCRA! JUST IN CASE YOU DIDN’T KNOW, BECAUSE I DIDN’T KNOW, BUT NOW I DO, SO I THOUGHT YOU SHOULD KNOW TOO!” Well at least now we all know.

And once the Maasai (Masai) found Matt and Debbie’s five boys (Josiah, Seth, Sam, John and Andrew) rippin’ around on Ripsticks, our departure became increasingly delayed.
