On this past Sunday night, God asked us a question: why are we on this tour? We think we answered correctly.

It could be very easy on a tour such as this, traveling as much as we are, to easy just fall into a routine, do our scheduled program and move on. But, on this night, we were reminded that we need to be constantly listening to God. That even though we may be on a fundraising tour, that is not why we are here.We are here to do God’s work. The rest is up to Him.

Our presence at the River had not originally been planned or scheduled. It was an opportunity that had come to us only days before. We came with no preconceived notions of how the night would go, only that we would listen and respond accordingly. What transpired was a feeling from the entire team that we were not here to just sing and promote the book and CDs. Instead of telling the testimonies of the 6 choir members, we told the story of Sabina. We were able to engage in active ministering to the people of The River in what was a touching time for all of us.

We ended the service with the Maasai splitting into teams of 2 to pray for people individually. We all walked away from The River feeling changed, knowing that have to continually listen to God, and praying for big things to happen with the people at The River.
