Mama Christine | Cranbrook, BC

Submitted by on October 25, 2011 – 9:50 pmNo Comment

Cranbrook was another homecoming of sorts that we have all been looking forward to. Cranbrook is the home of Christine’s parents (Jeremy’s in-laws), the town where Sig Feser once taught college, and the home of many friends of Pamoja. We’ve all heard so many stories about this town and these people that by simply arriving, we felt at home.

At home in "Mama Christine's" living room

Time to sing grace

We were also able to pay a visit to a very special person in Christine’s life. Ruth may now be in a nursing home, but her heart and mind are still very much alive. The choir not only sang for Ruth, but also prayed for her as well.

Mama Christine is much like her daughter in that she is an extremely gracious host. We always felt welcomed in her home and she did her best to make sure it felt like our home as well.

Maasai Chai in Tanzanian mugs

And the Maasai’s favorite North American dessert… whipped creme!

Jeremy has a little fun with Nembu

Very happy Maasai eating their whipped cream as fast as they could

Thank you Paul and Georgina!!! Hope you have safe travels in Tanzania as you visit Christine and Pamoja while we’re all away.

And one final photo just for Christine on our way out of town…
