While in Calgary, we were able to share our Sunday morning with the good people of Calgary Life Church and Pastor Anthony Greco.

We woke up nice and early to get there in time for sound checks. As we stepped out of the house, we were met by the crisp chill of winter’s morning. The choir begged for us to quickly turn on the car’s heat and were saddened to learn that the car too needed to warm up a bit. Maliaki is slowly beginning to understand what a Canadian winter could feel like, but still think they’ll all be in shock by the time we reach Winnipeg at the end of the month.

On stage, the En-kata choir couldn’t be stopped. They had definitely warmed up and their singing, dancing and testimonies filled the room with warmth. We were able to share the people at each of Calgary Life’s services, but also with anyone watching the televised services from home.

We ended with a time for anyone who needed prayer to join us

After church, we got to hang out a little more with Pastor Anthony over some Double Doubles at WhiteSpot. It’s fun to see just how communal the Maasai are. If they are having trouble making a decision, it only takes one of them to decide. Then, they all trust that one person’s decision and that’s what they all decide to eat.

Thank you Calgary Life Church for letting us share with you! Your generosity and hospitality were amazing and we had a blast!
