Our first few days in North America were hosted by Jordan Ranch, in Schulenberg, Texas.

While we were all adjusting to night and day being tossed on their heads, we were treated royally by Frank Manzano, Pam, Van the man, the irrepressible John Mikilic (Mik), and the rest of the staff.

Mik runs Mikout.com, his own catering company, serving the best food this side of heaven. The Maasai (and the non-Maasai accompanying them!) were particularly taken by his prime rib.

Alas, the end came too quickly (though perhaps being divine salvation for our waistlines?), and we had to move on.
