First stop: Northwood Alliance Church, Blaine, WA

Here is how it went: Sunday, September 16th. A 6-hour drive from Arusha, Tanzania to Nairobi, Kenya to catch our flight to Vancouver. We boarded our plane and waited patiently for 2 hours until it was announced that our flight was canceled due to some technical issues (there was indeed a thorough explanation of the issue but at 2:30am all I caught was “we are shipping you all off to the Hilton in Nairobi!”).  Once we got to the Hilton, I said to Yona, “look, how fancy is this place? Look at the chandelier!” His response, completely unamused by the glamour of the Hilton: “Where is our bed? I’m looking for a bed, it’s 4am”. Function over extravagance. Valid point, Yona.

On the bus to Nairobi folks!

A day and a half later, Tuesday September 16th, 6 Am, we boarded the plane (free of all technical issues) to Vancouver, BC. Let’s quickly note how Stunning the Vancouver airport is. Vancouver airport= stunning. And the very next day we crossed the border to the US of A into Blaine, WA, for our first event.
