Evangel Christian Assembly | Calgary, AB

Saturday afternoon, we finally left the province of BC and arrived in Calgary. Here, we were able to join the Evangel Christian Assembly for their Fall Banquet, an evening of food, fellowship and Maasai fun.

One of the best moments of the night was actually before the dinner had even begun. The Maasai were sitting at a table inside and we noticed that they were all staring in one direction. Upon further inspection, we found that they were all looking out a window at a passing train. They were amazed that there just kept being more and more train cars with double stacked containers; it seemed to never end. Jeremy took them outside so that the choir could see better. Even near the tracks, we couldn’t see the beginning or end in either direction. They stood in astonishment until the last car had passed. They were now happy to go back inside to the warmth.

A friend finally asked for Jeremy to sign the En-kata book and this (below) is what they got: an illustration of Maasai fighting a lion with Jeremy running away from the circle.

Another great night with friends new and old at Evangel Christian Assembly. Thank you!
