We went to see the Dallas Cowboys today!… but first there was a trip to the grocery store to purchase some meat! Yona and Kardone were delighted to pick the fattiest cut around! (I have to admit though, it was some delicious ugali and stew).

Those of us who stayed back hung out with the locals here at IBC in San Antonio. This sweet girl wore Sifa’s necklace, and even did a little bit of Maasai (Masai) jumping!

Pastor David Cook took us to the Dallas Cowboys Stadium, and let me tell you, that place made an impression. Isack’s quote of the day is “I’ve never been in a house this big!”

Yes, we really, really were there! And thanks to our new friend Ruben Torres we were even able to understand a little bit of what was going on.

Naitapoaki’s comment once they started to play against eachother was, “This is a BAD game. They fall down so HARD!”

Martha asked me, “Naidin, Why are they eating cotton wool?” So we introduced the concept of cotton candy. The exclamations were wonderful! “This is American witchcraft!” or “It doesn’t even get inside your mouth! It’s in your hand, and then it’s gone!”… what fun.

And after a full and beautiful day, we shared a delicious home-cooked Maasai (Masai) meal of Ugali and Meat stew! Yona, Isack and Maliaki told stories about lions, and killing lions, and being attacked by lions, and we were entertained all night.

After dinner Jo and Mathayo played their duet JoAnna taught him the other day!

Our days are full!
